Back again to run the best "behind the scenes" show of any bike race in Michigan is Tallon Weatherby!  Tallon plays guitar for a little band called Nervz End, who rocked the amphitheater of pain back in 2007.  While the band won't be back for 2012, Tallon will once again be running music and sound for the what is undoubtedly the most unique 'cross race around!

While there band will not be at Ithaca for 2012, the sounds of Nervz End will once again rock the amphitheater of pain!

Marc correctly picked three of the top five elite men including Pauwells 3rd place finish.  Most everyone was stymied by sty-bee's lack of performance today.  And Nys seemed as usual to give up once the podium seemed out of touch, finishing in a disappointing 7th.  However, even more impressive was Marc's pics for the elite women's race!


Congrats Marc, not get off the couch and start training!  Ithaca is less than seven and a half months away!!

So you want to race the Ithaca GP but don't want to wait until registration opens up to secure your spot on the start line?  Or maybe you're just too cheap to pay the race entry fee...  That's ok.  Either way, you're in luck.

How it works:
It's quite easy, actually.  The UCI Cyclocross World Championships are on Sunday, January 29 (incidentally the same day as the MMBA meeting in Lansing).  The Elite women and Elite men both race that day.  If you're lucky you will probably be able to find the race streamed live on cyclingfans.com.

SO, in order to win a free race entry to the fourth Ithaca Grand Prix of Cyclocross, you need to post your top FIVE places for both the Elite women AND the Elite Men's categories for the UCI Cyclocross World Championship race.

Write your choices in the "comments" section of this posting.  You will need to be a registered user and be willing to have your name announced as the winner.  Make sure to post your pics by MIDNIGHT on FRIDAY NIGHT, January 27.  Any pics received after midnight on Friday night will not count.

Fine print:
This will be good only for the 2012 race and is not transferable to anyone other than you, so if you can't make it tough luck.  I get to pick who is the winner based on the best choices overall, so don't complain.  Also it is good for only one race on the day, so if you want to be awesome and race in the B-Men, Masters 35+, and SS race, plan on paying the extra (small) fee for the 2nd and 3rd races.
