Due to many reasons I am unfortunately unable to continue promoting the Ithaca Grand Prix of Cyclocross. I sincerely appreciate all of you who helped to make the event as successful as it was for three years! It truly takes an army to coordinate an event like the Ithaca GP, and those that helped know how much work actually goes into the process. For all that raced or help make it a race, you have my gratitude.
We are truly fortunate in Michigan to have the cyclocross scene as we do. Rick Plite, Joe Lekovich, and Robert Linden truly have backbreaking jobs almost every weekend (or summer) in the fall! Do your part to help the sport grow and GET INVOLVED with the process! Promoters can ALWAYS use more help, so take the first step and ask. In the end I would love to see a united front of 'cross in Michigan, but we can never lose sight of the options and direction 'cross has moved over the past 15+ years. We have a lot of hard working people to be thankful for. Our state has a tremendous amount of talent and future potential, largely in part to the hard work of race promoters across the state.
Thanks for your support, and I'll see you in the fall.
